Three is a collection and three collections is a museum.

On March 22, 2020 I began a project on my instagram page. In an effort to bring unseen artworks from my home museum to the public, I posted one artwork per day from my personal collection. I have multiple collections in my home, some of which I have included below. I have been thinking a lot about the nature of public vs. private [art] collections and re-shaping the ways that we think about how museums function, collect and serve the public, which will inevitably be a part of our future. Stay tuned for a curated virtual show of my home collections. Please share yours with me @cassandraerb on instagram, Cassandra Erb on facebook, or e-mail me @cerb@crt.la.gov

These are selections from my book collection. The first few images are books that I am referencing a lot while I work from home. The next are groupings that I open regularly (and I am in the middle of many), and the final two images are my art book collection housed in my studio. What’s missing are a couple hundred more on various shelves throughout my home, currently out of rotation.
